Hanna Diyab, the name of a mystic story teller.

Hanna Diyab is a  Syrian Maronite storyteller and businessman. He was born in 1688 in Syria and died 1763. He is the origin of the famous tales of Aladdin and Ali Baba and the forty Thieves of the novel “One Thousand and One Nights” translated by  Antoine Galland.

Diyab was a traveller and visited many countries from 1707 to 1710.He also visited Paris in 1708 to 1709.As a result,he had the knowledge of the places and cultures he encountered. We, most of us known about arabian novels which is very attractive to read and listening.Even though, many movies and series had made based on these arabic fantasy stories.among them “Aladdin” and “Ali baba” is very famous which was created by Diyab. But it is very sad to know that this person is not known to us because of a person named Antoine Galland who didn't want to make him familiar to others because of his greediness.Diyab made and told him those stories in the beginning of  1710 and then Galland  wrote the stories and published those in the end of the same year and became famous. Antoine Galland was taken 17 stories from Diyab but he didn't mention Diyab’s name in his translated novel.Hanan Diyab visited Tripoli, Sidon, Beirut, Cyprus, then to Egypt from wv he  travelled to Libya, then Tunisia. That’s why in his stories he mentioned those countries beauty and people’s life style very effectively and magically.

Moreover, you can,t find anyone who din,t watch or listen or known about this classic arabic stories.Because man, woman, girl, boy, teenager and mostly adult as well as old liks these arabic fantasy stories that attracts all age of watcher, reader and listener.

Actually,  I personally like these arabic fantasy stories .That’s the reason I wanted to know who is the creator of these stories. From the diary of Antoine Galland, the autobiography of Hanan Diyab is  dramatically expanded in 2015 .That’s the reason  after 305 years we are knowing that original teller name which is very sorrowful to me.

Hanan Diyab’s picture or anything was not found properly. So i am attaching only his stories painted pic.
